Design and operation
The Parsun boat motor is equipped with a remote control system that allows you to control:
- ignition;
- shifting gears;
- changing the speed with fixing the desired level;
- idle speed control;
- emergency stop.
The connection is made using two cables included in the kit. In addition, it is possible to install additional equipment - an electric trim and a steering wheel, which are purchased separately.
The Parsun F9.8FWL can be started either by electric starter or manually. The system uses a digital CDI ignition, which provides a stable spark even at low revs and in difficult conditions.
The tilt angle of the device is manually adjusted using a trim system, allowing you to adjust the angle of immersion of the propeller depending on the operating conditions. This adjustment improves maneuverability and efficiency, and the upper position helps to pass through shallow water. If necessary, you can additionally connect an electric trim and adjust the differential remotely.
At the bottom is an anti-cavitation plate with an anode - protection against air entering the screw and metal corrosion.
The standard 3x8 7/8x8 1/3 propeller is made of marine aluminum, resistant to water. To reduce the risk of damage when hitting underwater obstacles, a rubber damper is provided, which performs a shock-absorbing function.
The outboard motor is cooled by a forced circulation water system with a built-in thermostat. The inner surface is protected by a zinc coating, which significantly increases the service life when operating in salt water.
