Parsun T40J FWS is a two-stroke outboard motor with a capacity of 40 horsepower, aimed at owners of medium and large watercraft. The gasoline outboard engine has excellent traction, thanks to which it is able to easily launch the boat onto a speedboat, as well as tow water skis, inflatable attractions and transport passengers or cargo. At the same time, even with intensive load, fuel consumption remains at the level of 16–17 l/h, which is significantly lower than that of similar models with a standard cylinder capacity.

Technical features and advantages of the "J" series

One of the main design solutions of this series was the reduction of the engine displacement to 669 cm³ without loss of power. This allowed to reduce the weight of the device to 68 kg and dimensions (1213×645×372 mm), as well as significantly reduce fuel consumption. Due to the lightweight design, the unit gains speed faster and demonstrates better responsiveness. In addition, the Parsun T40J FWS is devoid of a tiller, the control is completely carried out remotely - this ensures the convenience of installation on large boats, motorboats and sailboats, where it is important to free up space in the stern.

Launch and control system

The Parsun outboard motor is equipped with two starting methods - electric and manual. The electric starter is activated from the remote control, and the manual starter is supplemented with an enlarged flywheel and protected from corrosion. Electronic and mechanical priming is also provided, which facilitates starting in any weather conditions. The modern CDI ignition system guarantees a confident start from the first turn of the key even at low temperatures and high humidity.

Comfort and operation

To increase the comfort of operation, the model has implemented noise-reducing and anti-vibration technologies. The exhaust is discharged through the propeller hub, and rubber pads are used at the engine mounting points to reduce noise and vibration. This is especially important for fishing, hunting and long walks on the water. The remote control allows you to control the speed, three gears, idle, start, stop and electric suction. The commander also has buttons for emergency shutdown and the ability to connect an electric hydraulic lift.

Purpose and compatibility

Parsun will be an excellent choice for a wide range of tasks: from fishing and hunting to active water recreation and cargo transportation. It is installed on aluminum, plastic and RIB boats, and is also used as the main or auxiliary engine on boats, yachts and sailboats. Thanks to the short deadwood (type S), it is suitable for transoms up to 381 mm high. Before buying, you should make sure that the declared power meets the requirements of a particular hull.
