Parsun TC5.8BMS is a compact and reliable 5.8 hp two-stroke outboard motor designed for operation on small vessels with a crew of 1-2 people. It is perfect for inflatable PVC boats, as well as aluminum, plastic and RIB boats. Equipped with an S-length deadwood (381 mm), it is easily installed on standard transoms and is used for fishing, trolling, slow walks or going out on a speedboat in a light boat. The motor confidently copes with transporting passengers or small loads on inland waterways.

Fuel system and range

The model is equipped with two tanks: a built-in 2.7 l tank and an external 9 l tank, which in total gives 11.7 liters of fuel. This volume provides up to 6 hours of operation at full speed, and even more in medium mode. The presence of a fuel connector allows you to connect tanks of a different volume, and the economical consumption (average 2 l/h) makes the engine an excellent choice for long walks and fishing. The kit includes a hose with a pump bulb for convenient connection of an external tank.

Handling and maneuverability

Convenience of control is provided by a 40 cm long tiller with a rubberized handle, which is well fixed even in a wet hand. The tiller has an emergency stop button and a throttle tension regulator, which allows you to fix the required revolutions during prolonged straight-line movement. The design provides three gears - forward, neutral and reverse. This is especially important when maneuvering in a confined space, ensuring full controllability in any conditions.

Powertrain design and reliability

The power unit is a single-cylinder two-stroke engine with a displacement of 102 cm. It is characterized by stable operation even at idle, which is especially valuable when trolling fishing. The TCI transistor ignition system ensures easy starting and stable operation at various speeds. The manual starter, made of marine aluminum, is resistant to corrosion and mechanical damage, and air cooling protects the gasoline outboard engine from overheating, even if the deadwood is raised on the beach.

Safety and protection in difficult conditions

Parsun TC5.8BMS is equipped with a cord with a check and a carabiner - if the driver accidentally falls overboard, the system will immediately stop the engine. For swimming in shallow water, a quick-lift mechanism for the deadwood with fixation in the raised position is provided, which protects the lower part from damage. You can return the engine to the working position in a few simple movements. There is also an adjustment of the turning force using an eccentric on the deadwood, which allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the control to specific conditions.

Propulsion system and cooling

The kit includes an aluminum propeller that provides an excellent balance between speed and thrust. It has a damping fit with a rubber bushing that reduces the load on the transmission during impacts. Exhaust is carried out through the propeller hub - this increases efficiency and reduces noise levels, making operation more comfortable. The forced circulation cooling system removes water from the bottom of the deadwood, without stopping operation even with the motor raised in a ditch.

Anti-corrosion protection and durability

The engine housing is made of marine aluminum alloy, resistant to salt water. The design includes a multi-layer paint coating, zinc coating of the cooling system channels and cathodic-anodic protection installed on an anti-cavitation plate. All this ensures a long service life in the most aggressive operating conditions.

The standard delivery includes the Parsun outboard motor itself, an external fuel tank, a hose with a bulb, an emergency cord with a check, a repair kit, a spare spark plug, operating instructions and packaging. Everything you need is already included in the kit to start full and safe operation.
