The Fisher 32 electric boat motor is designed for installation as the main one on PVC inflatable boats with a total weight of up to 600 kg and a length of up to 3.5 meters. In addition, it is often used as an auxiliary or traction engine on aluminum or plastic hull boats, as well as for water bikes. Due to the fact that the propeller rotation speed is significantly lower than that of gasoline engines, it provides high precision and accuracy of maneuvering, which is especially important when sailing in narrow channels, in shallow water and in places with a large number of various obstacles. Due to its affordable cost, ease of operation and economy, the model is deservedly popular among fishermen and water sports enthusiasts.
Appointment
It is suitable for many different applications. It copes well with the function of the main or auxiliary engine on inflatable PVC boats. It is also widely used as an additional electric motor on plastic and aluminum hull boats. In addition, the model is great for trolling - quiet and neat movement on a reservoir, and can also be installed on water bikes. The unit is designed for operation in both fresh and salt water, which expands its capabilities. The mount is made on a hinged or stationary transom with a height of 381 mm (type S), which provides reliable fixation and ease of installation.
Advantages of the model
The motor has significant advantages that favorably distinguish it from its competitors. One of the main advantages is its relatively low price, which makes it accessible to a wide range of users. At the same time, the quality of assembly and materials used is at a high level - modern materials are used to manufacture the hull and main components: composite fiberglass, cast aluminum, nylon and other reliable components. Thanks to the electric type of engine, operating costs are significantly lower than those of internal combustion models. The Fisher 32 does not require gasoline, oils, complex maintenance procedures and winter preservation, which saves time and money. Convenience of control is achieved due to the telescopic steering wheel (tiller), which allows you to easily change the direction of the boat and adjust the speed of rotation of the propeller. The unit is also environmentally friendly - it is almost silent, does not disturb the fish, does not pollute the water with oil and gasoline, and does not emit exhaust gases into the air. The weight is only 6.5 kg, which makes it easy to lift and carry it with one hand. To monitor the battery status, a charge indicator is provided, which warns of the need for recharging and prevents deep battery discharge.
Main unit design
The plastic case performs several important functions: it protects the electronics and electrical components from moisture and mechanical damage. The case is highly resistant to vibrations that inevitably occur when the boat moves through waves. In addition, it is made of durable material, which increases durability. The case design is stylish and streamlined, which minimizes water resistance and does not take up much space on the boat.
Tiller
The telescopic tiller is used to control the direction and speed of the boat. It can be turned right and left to change course, and rotated clockwise or counterclockwise to shift gears. Gear shifting is accompanied by a distinct click, which prevents accidental skipping of the desired gear. The tiller is made of durable ABS plastic and has a rubber pad on the end, which provides a reliable grip even with wet hands, which is especially important in water conditions. The telescopic design allows you to change the length of the handle, adjusting it to the convenience of a particular user and driving conditions.
Rack (deadwood)
The stand is a tube made of durable and lightweight fiberglass. The upper part of the stand is connected to the main unit, and the lower part to the body. Inside the stand are electrical wires that supply power to the motor. To protect against damage during collisions with floating objects and the bottom, the position of the stand can be adjusted using a plastic clamp. To change the depth of the screw, you need to unscrew the ram screw, raise or lower the stand to the desired level, and then fix it again with the clamp.
Fastening unit
For mounting on the boat transom, a special assembly is used, consisting of two clamps with a reinforced profile, made of durable nylon. The screws are equipped with stubborn washers and rams, which allows you to quickly and without tools to fix the outboard motor on the transom or remove it. The fastening is ensured by uniform force on both screws and takes only a few minutes. The fastening assembly provides for adjusting the tilt of the rack - it allows you to change the angle of inclination from horizontal to vertical within 90 degrees with fixation in ten different positions. This function is important for movement in shallow water, cleaning the screw from algae, as well as for lifting the unit out of the water during storage.
Technical specifications
The Fisher electric motor is equipped with five forward and three reverse gears, which provides a wide range of speed and direction adjustment. The maximum propeller rotation speed is 1200 rpm, power - 312 W, pulling force - 14.5 kg (32 lbs), current strength - up to 26 A. The electric motor is powered by a 12-volt traction battery, which is connected via a long cable. The recommended battery capacity is at least 80 A·h. The device weighs only 6.5 kg, which makes it easy to carry and install on a boat. The operation is accompanied by a noise level of no more than 50 dB, which makes the movement comfortable and does not scare away fish, which is especially important for trolling. Graphite brushes ensure stable and long-term operation without overheating even at maximum speed. During operation, the engine is completely immersed in water, which contributes to its effective cooling and increases its service life.
Propeller
The kit comes with two propellers: a three-bladed 8.6-inch diameter main propeller, and a spare two-bladed 9-inch diameter propeller. Both propellers are made of durable plastic, which provides protection against damage when hitting the bottom and obstacles. Plastic propellers are lighter than metal ones, and can deform or break when hit, reducing the load on the engine. Replacing the propeller is simple and cheaper than repairing an electric motor for a boat. The main propeller is located behind the keel, which additionally protects it. A two-blade propeller has higher efficiency and saves battery power better, but at the same time creates a large load on each blade. To install the propeller, use the wrench and fasteners included in the delivery.
Battery charge indicator
On the top of the main unit is a backlit battery charge indicator. It shows the battery status using red and green colors: red indicates a critically low charge, green indicates a normal level. This allows you to monitor the charge in a timely manner and prevent deep discharge of the battery.
Operating recommendations
For power supply, it is recommended to use gel or AGM traction batteries with a capacity of at least 80 A·h and a weight of about 24 kg, which should be taken into account when loading the boat. It is important to regularly monitor the battery charge level and charge it after each trip to the water or a long downtime to avoid deep discharge, which can shorten the battery life or make it impossible to charge it again. The voltage must not fall below 10.5 V. The revolutions are lower than those of gasoline engines, so the boat does not go out on a speedboat - this point must be taken into account during operation. The warranty is 24 months.
