It is also widely used on hull and PVC boats as an auxiliary or maneuvering motor, as well as for trolling. In addition, it can be used on water attractions. The model is designed for installation on a transom with a height of 381 mm.

This electric motor is designed for installation on boats with a transom height of 381 mm (model S) or 508 mm (model L), provided that the total weight of the vessel, including cargo and passengers, does not exceed 800 kg, and the length of the boat is 4 meters. It can be used on PVC boats, aluminum and plastic boats, as well as on water bikes.

Depending on the task, it can be used as a main traction motor, a shunting or auxiliary motor, or as a trolling unit for quiet and precise fishing. The model is excellent for operation in freshwater or saltwater.

Tiller

The tiller of the Fisher 36 electric motor is made of ABS plastic and is equipped with a telescopic mechanism that allows you to change its length: 18 cm when folded and 30 cm when unfolded. The tiller is designed to change the direction of the boat and switch speeds: turning the handle clockwise turns it forward, counterclockwise turns it back. The switching is accompanied by a distinct click, which allows you to change the speed without looking at the scale.

Stand

The rack is a tube made of lightweight and at the same time very strong composite fiberglass that connects the main unit, mounts and the Fischer electric motor. Electrical wires pass through the rack, supplying voltage to the motor.

To protect the propeller and the rack from damage when hitting the bottom, the depth of the propeller is adjustable. This is done manually - the screw on the rack clamp is unscrewed, then the rack is raised or lowered to the desired position and the screw is tightened again.

Fastening to the transom

The mounting block consists of two clamps made of strong and lightweight nylon with a reinforced profile, resistant to abrasion. Each clamp is fixed with screws with metal washers, which distribute the load on the transom and ensure reliable fixation. The screws are equipped with rams, so the fastening can be done by hand without the use of tools.

Transom mounting takes about a minute. The mechanism for changing the angle of inclination of the stand allows you to fix the motor in horizontal, vertical and eight intermediate positions. This makes it easier to clean the propeller from algae and allows you to adapt the inclination when driving in shallow water.

Technical specifications

The Fisher 36 has the ability to adjust the speed by changing the propeller speed. The maximum propeller speed reaches 1200 revolutions per minute in fifth gear. A total of 5 forward and 3 reverse speeds are available. In the neutral position, marked "0", it is turned off.

The electric motor with graphite brushes is located in a sealed housing, which is under water during operation. This cooling method prevents overheating at maximum loads and ensures long-term operation. The engine operates very quietly, the noise level does not exceed 50 dB, vibrations are minimal.

Propeller

The kit includes a main three-blade propeller with a diameter of 8.6 inches and a spare two-blade propeller with a diameter of 9 inches. The two-blade propeller is characterized by increased efficiency, but also an increased load on each blade.

The propellers are made of impact-resistant plastic - with small collisions the blades bend, acting as a shock absorber, and with strong impacts they break, but the engine does not fail. To continue operation, it is enough to replace the propeller, which is much cheaper than repairing a boat motor.

The propeller is mounted directly on the shaft without the use of a gearbox, which increases reliability and reduces the likelihood of breakdowns. A protective keel is located in front of the propeller, protecting the propeller from damage when in contact with the bottom.

A wrench is included for fastening the screw.

Battery charge indicator

The charge indicator is located on the top of the main unit and is equipped with LED backlighting. Green segments show a normal battery charge level, red ones warn of approaching dangerously low charge, which helps to avoid deep discharge of the traction battery.

Special operating recommendations

Car batteries cannot be used for power supply; AGM or gel traction batteries with a capacity of at least 100 A*h are required. Deep discharge to 10.5 V reduces the battery life and can cause it to fail. It is recommended to regularly charge the battery after each trip to the water.
