The Fisher 55 outboard motor is designed for installation on inflatable, plastic and aluminum boats with a hinged or stationary transom. It is designed for boats weighing up to 1200 kg and up to 5.5 meters long and can act as the main, auxiliary or trolling engine. Due to the absence of exhaust gases and low noise level, this unit is perfect for fishing, hunting and comfortable recreation on the water.
Appointment
It is designed for use in saltwater and freshwater. Its mount is suitable for mounting on boats with a 381 or 508 mm high transom or a fixed transom. This engine can be used as the main propulsion for boats weighing up to 1.2 tons and up to 5.5 meters long, as well as as an auxiliary device for precise maneuvering. A particular application is trolling fishing, where quiet operation and stable speed maintenance are of paramount importance. It is also suitable for mounting on water bikes.
Advantages of the model
The model has a number of advantages, among which it is worth highlighting high efficiency - the engine does not require gasoline and lubricants, which significantly reduces operating costs. The price of the device remains affordable, which makes it accessible to a wide range of users. The quality of the assembly and the materials used - composite fiberglass and aluminum - guarantee durability and reliability. It is also worth noting environmental safety: the absence of fuel and oil spills eliminates pollution of water bodies. Due to its low weight, it is easy to transport and install. The unit starts almost instantly, the propeller immediately starts rotating and quickly gains speed. The telescopic tiller allows you to adjust the length of the handle for maximum ease of control. The battery charge indicator helps to monitor the energy level and avoid deep battery discharge. Installation and maintenance are simple and do not require special tools.
The Fischer electric motor with graphite brushes is enclosed in a durable, corrosion-resistant cast aluminum housing. During operation, the motor is immersed in water, which provides effective cooling and prevents overheating, even during prolonged operation at maximum load. The direct drive of the propeller without a gearbox increases the reliability of the unit.
Main unit
The control electronics are located in the upper part of the boat motor and are reliably protected by a plastic housing, which not only protects against moisture and dust, but is also resistant to ultraviolet radiation. The glossy black surface of the housing looks modern and stylish.
Tiller
The telescopic tiller is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic and has rubber pads with grooves for easy control, even if your hands are wet. The length of the handle varies from 18 cm when folded to 30 cm when unfolded. The "Zero" position turns off the engine, the forward gears are marked with the English word "Forward", the rear - "Reverse". Switching occurs with a distinct click, which ensures a clear fixation of the desired gear.
Stand
The rack is made of durable composite fiberglass, which combines lightness and high strength. It is able to withstand significant loads that occur during boat movement, and even accidental impacts on the bottom of the reservoir. Inside the rack are wires that transmit power from the main unit to the electric motor. The connection point of the rack with the housing is sealed, which prevents water from entering the windings. To move in shallow water areas, the rack can be raised by loosening the coupling and installing it at the desired height, then fixing it with a lambda screw. In emergency cases, the engine can be lifted manually together with the rack, without unscrewing the coupling, to avoid damage to the propeller.
Mounting block
The transom mount consists of two clamps with reinforced nylon housings that are resistant to abrasion and mechanical stress. The clamping screws are equipped with metal washers to evenly distribute pressure and prevent damage to the transom. Installation does not require the use of tools and takes only a few minutes. The rack tilt mechanism allows you to fix the unit in one of ten positions in 10-degree increments - from vertical to horizontal. This helps to raise the engine when parking or cleaning the propeller, as well as tilt it when driving in shallow water to protect the propeller from damage. It is important to remember that unlike gasoline engines, the electric motor can be completely lifted out of the water during operation without the risk of breakage. For ease of control, the rack turning force is adjusted, which allows you to maintain a course without the need to constantly hold the rudder. When maneuvering, the clamping screw is loosened for free rotation.
Fisher 55 is equipped with eight gears - five forward and three reverse, each of which has its own values of current, power and thrust. In the maximum fifth gear, the pulling force reaches 55 lbs (about 25 kg), the propeller rotation speed is 1250 rpm, the current is 52 amps, and the power is 624 watts. A 12-volt traction battery of the GEL or AGM type with a recommended capacity of at least 150 A*h is used for power, which provides up to three hours of operation at maximum speed. The length of the rack is 92 cm, the total height is 123 cm, and the weight is 9 kg. The operating noise does not exceed 50 dB.
Screw
The kit includes a three-blade propeller made of impact-resistant plastic, as well as an installation kit with a key, key, washer and nut. Installing the propeller is simple: the key is inserted into the groove on the shaft, the propeller is put on the shaft so that the key falls into the corresponding grooves, then fixed with a washer and nut. The propeller design allows you to absorb impacts on the bottom - the blades have springs and restore their shape after light collisions, which reduces the load on the engine and extends its service life. With strong impacts, the blades can be damaged, but their replacement is much cheaper than repairing the Fisher 55 electric motor. The keel on the hull additionally protects the propeller from damage.
Charge indicator
On the top surface of the main unit there is a battery charge level indicator – it resembles a speedometer with color indication: green zone indicates normal charge level, red – low. This will help to avoid deep discharge of the battery and extend the service life of the traction battery.
Features of operation
When using, only traction batteries (gel or AGM) should be used, as car batteries can be dangerous due to possible electrolyte spills. It is recommended to regularly monitor the battery voltage, not allowing it to drop below 10.5 V, in order to avoid deep discharge. Batteries with a capacity of 150 A*h weigh about 44 kg, so convenient means of movement should be provided for their transportation and loading of the boat. Gel and AGM batteries can be installed both vertically and horizontally. After a long period of inactivity, the battery must be fully charged, and also charged after each use.
Equipment
The delivery package includes the boat motor itself, a three-blade propeller, an installation kit, a packing box, and detailed operating instructions.
