Parsun F2.6A BMS is a compact four-stroke outboard motor designed for installation on light inflatable boats and small yachts. It combines ease of operation, low noise and vibration, and ease of transportation - weighing only 18 kg, it easily fits in the trunk of a car.
Design and management
Housing and materials
The upper part is covered with a durable plastic casing that protects the fuel tank and controls. The materials are corrosion-resistant, which allows the engine to be used even in seawater. The body has a convenient carrying handle, as well as a mixture enrichment lever and starter.
Ignition system
A digital CDI system is installed - it makes starting easier and ensures stable operation at low revs.
Tiller
Steering is via a 40 cm long tiller with a rubberized handle. It combines the functions of direction and throttle control. The speed is regulated by turning the handle, and the degree of its scrolling can be adjusted for more precise control. The tiller also has an emergency stop button.
Gear shift
There is a lever on the body of the gasoline outboard motor that is responsible for changing gears. There are two modes in total - "neutral" and "forward". Reversing is done by turning the unit 180 ° and turning on the forward movement.
Fastening and adjustment
Installation on the transom is carried out using two strong clamps. Nearby is a tri-system with the ability to choose one of four angles of inclination. It is also possible to install in a raised position - convenient when mooring or in shallow water.
Chassis
Deadwood
Parsun F2.6A BMS has a standard length of 381 mm and a streamlined shape. Equipped with a steering stiffness adjustment screw - useful for maintaining straight-line movement.
Propeller
Three-bladed, made of marine aluminum with an increased diameter. To protect the gearbox, a rubber damper has been added, which softens the shocks from accidental obstacles.
Anti-cavitation plate
Located at the bottom and prevents air from entering the flow. Increases course stability and is equipped with an anode for cathodic protection against oxidation.
Cooling system
Forced water cooling with thermostat ensures stable operation under various loads. All internal channels are protected against corrosion.
