The Parsun F6A BMS DC is a lightweight and reliable 6 hp four-stroke engine that combines functionality, ease of operation and affordability. It will be an excellent choice for fishing, trolling or water sports enthusiasts on boats up to 3.5 meters long.

Design and control

The device is mounted on a standard height transom (381 mm) using two sturdy clamps. Its compact dimensions and weight of 27 kg make it easy to carry and transport by hand or in the trunk of a car. It is important to maintain the position during transportation - vertically or on its side - to avoid oil leakage through a leaky crankcase.

To control the gasoline outboard motor, a 40-centimeter tiller with ergonomic proergonomics is provided. The gears — “forward”, “neutral” and “reverse” — are switched using a lever conveniently located on the operator’s body. A trim system and a shallowing mode are also implemented: the first allows you to optimally change the angle of the engine depending on the conditions, the second – to raise the propeller for protection when passing through shallow water.

Features of operation

This model was modernized in 2014: the old TCI ignition system was replaced with a digital CDI, which made starting more stable even in cold weather or after a long idle period. The starter is manual, with a strong corrosion-resistant handle.

Among the technical features of the outboard motor is a cylinder capacity of 148 cm, which is one of the best indicators in the class. The maximum fuel consumption is less than 2.3 liters per hour. The fuel is unleaded gasoline AI-92 or AI-95. Filling is carried out into a built-in 1.3-liter tank, and if necessary, an external fuel tank can be connected - the corresponding fitting is included in the standard package.

Reliability and comfort

The Parsun outboard motor offers quiet operation with low vibration levels. This makes it more comfortable to use and allows you to go out on the water in areas with environmental restrictions.

An important design element is the anti-cavitation plate. It prevents air from entering the propeller area, reduces slippage, and increases thrust, especially at takeoff and in adverse conditions.
